Here is some information that will help you locate the boat ramps and launch sites that are available in various areas.
Pearl River - The launch, often called the Green Bridge launch, is on the Louisiana/Mississippi state line on Hwy 90.
Delacroix/Caernarvon Area - From I 10 take the 510 exit south/hwy 47 Paris Rd. Take Hwy 46 to Delacroix or Hwy 39 for Caernarvon. There are several launches in Delacroix area near the end of the road. For Caernarvon, the launch is just past the St. Bernard State Park. However, the EBI (Elevating Boats Inc) launch (the public launch) is actually closed … you need a Caerarvon key to launch over there now (Delacroix Corporation) which is private.
Bayou Segnette/Pier 90 – Lake Cataouatche - Hwy 90 from Metairie/New Orleans takes you over the Huey P. Long Bridge. It is under construction so the 310 from Destrehan to Hwy 90 is an alternate. Pier 90 is west on 90 past Avondale, on the left, if you use the Huey P. For Bayou Segnette, take Hwy 90 east to Westwego. The park entrance is on the right. The park does not open to after daylight and closes before dark. If you take the 310, turn left on 90 towards New Orleans. Pier 90 in on the right about 15 minutes past the 310. It is just past a small bridge.
Des Allemands - Continue down Hwy 90 from New Orleans. There is a launch on either side of the Des Allemands Bridge.
Bayou Black - Follow Hwy 90 towards Houma. Exit Hwy 90 at Gibson. Take hwy 182/Bayou Black Drive south. The launch is on the right at Bob’s Bayou Black Marina.
Amelia/Berwick - Near Morgan City, there are a few spots to drop the boat in. Under the Hwy 182 Bridge in Amelia, there is a nice launch. You can reach Bayou Black and the lower Atchafalaya River area. If you run west, there is a lock to go through. Also, be careful of the cable crossing the canal for the ferry boat. Berwick is past Morgan City on Hwy 90. The launch is just pass the bridge on the left. Take a left at the light and follow the road over the level. Berwick is closer to the lower marsh and Wax Lake/Wax area.
Spillway/Basin/Lake Verret - Doiron’s Landing is on Hwy 70 north of Morgan City. You can launch on either side of the road. Over the levy is the Basin. The store side will take you to the Lake Verret side of the Spillway. Further North along Hwy 70 is Adam’s Landing. If you launch at Adam’s, you are in Belle River. Continue up Hwy 70 until you reach 997. At the four stop, go straight. The Belle River Public Launch is about a mile or so on the left.
Bayou Pigeon/Sorrell - From Baton Rouge, cross the Mississippi River and take Hwy 1 south. In Plaquemine, take Hwy 75. Bayou Sorrell has a launch. Further south is the Bayou Pigeon launch. In Pigeon, cross the bridge to Hwy 997 to find the launch.
Red River - Red River South Marina or Clark's Marina are good choices. Take Hwy 71 South from Bossier City. Red River South is the first marina from Bossier and on the right. Clark's is 19 miles from the I20 exit in Bossier. It is just above lock btween pool 5 and 4.
